When you make a booking through Hey Book (via ChatGPT, Claude, Muse, or another AI assistant), we collect:
If you list a business on Hey Book, we collect your business name, type, address, notification email, and booking preferences.
We use your booking details only to handle your bookings: to send the request to the business you chose, to email you the business's answer, and to let you check or cancel a booking through your AI assistant. We also use them to keep Hey Book working and secure, for example to fix errors.
We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, build profiles about you, or use it to train AI models.
Your name, email, and booking details are shared with the specific business you are booking with, sent to their registered notification email. When the business answers, its email address is shared with you so you can reply to it.
We also use service providers that handle data only to run Hey Book for us: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Resend (sending booking emails) and Sentry (error reports, which can include technical details of a failed request). We do not share your information with anyone else.
Booking data is stored in our database (hosted on Neon/PostgreSQL) for as long as needed to fulfil and reference the booking. Data is encrypted in transit, and the database is encrypted at rest. Only the signed-in customer can see their own bookings through Hey Book, and only Hey Book's developer can access the database.
You can request deletion of your data at any time — see Contact below.
Hey Book is accessed through AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude and Muse via the Model Context Protocol (MCP). These platforms may retain conversation history according to their own privacy policies — Hey Book only receives the specific booking details needed to complete your request.
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us.
